Since 1989, tens of thousands of outstanding middle and high school students from across the United States and more than 70 countries have come to the NSLC for an incredible opportunity to share, discuss and debate issues that affect them, our nation and our world. The NSLC’s unique, curriculum-based leadership conferences have given our students the opportunity to explore the qualities of great leaders and get an insider’s perspective on some of today’s most exciting and important professions. This summer, NSLC offers 30 different career exploration programs on 15 campuses throughout the United States.
Each summer the NSLC hires undergraduate and graduate students to serve as teaching assistants (TAs) to teach, mentor, and inspire a new generation of NSLC students. TAs will help develop and facilitate academic workshops and leadership sessions. They will also have the opportunity to visit organizations/companies and hear from experts in the fields of medicine, engineering, politics, journalism, theater, architecture, forensics, cybersecurity, data science, veterinary medicine, marine biology, national security and so much more.
