Position Overview
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will partner closely with an Outside Sales Representative to support and grow customer accounts. This role focuses on managing quotes, processing orders, and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.
You’ll be an essential link between customers, the outside sales team, and internal departments, helping deliver precision-engineered solutions on time and within specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for customer inquiries, quotes, and order updates.
- Work closely with your Outside Sales Representative to manage assigned accounts and identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare and process quotes, sales orders, and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Use Salesforce and CRM to track customer information, manage pipelines, and monitor order progress.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining NEP’s reputation for reliability and technical expertise.
- Support outside sales activities with account research, lead follow-up, and communication as needed.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers by addressing concerns and providing solutions promptly.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, with prior experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management (electronics industry experience a plus).
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred) and ERP tools (Global Shop or similar).
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive, customer-focused team environment.
Training & Development
We provide a thorough training program starting on your first day, covering our systems, product knowledge, and customer engagement strategies. NEP is willing to train motivated individuals with no prior sales or industry experience, offering the tools and support needed for success.
Compensation
NEP offers a starting salary of $50,000+, with total compensation reflecting experience, qualifications, and performance.
