Business Operations Intern - Hilltop Securities

Hilltop Securities Inc. is currently looking for a qualified student to join our team as a summer intern in Business Operations in Dallas, TX. The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with various business lines and will gain hands-on experience working in several key areas including research, data analysis, system integration and product support. Our Summer 2026 Internship Program is an in-person experience lasting from May 27th to July 31st with opportunities located in downtown Dallas at our HTS Tower location and throughout the country at various branch locations.

Location: 717 N Harwood St, Dallas, TX, 75201, US

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing data for accuracy and completion
  • Document process workflows
  • Assist with training program creation and implementation for Salesforce end users
  • Special projects as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Proven self-starter who can initiate tasks and follow up to completion to produce high quality results in a timely manner
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and product definition skills
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel—Visio a plus
  • Rising senior studying in a related field
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Candidate MUST have authorization to work for any employer in the US without requiring sponsorship, whether in student status or not

About the Team

The Operations department’s work is vital to the functionality and success of HilltopSecurities. The department provides back-office support and service for the entire firm. With well over 100 employees ranging from specialists to senior managers, each individual plays a specific role in the overarching operation of the company. Operations’ areas of focus include clearance, settlement, unit investment trusts, government and mortgage-backed securities, money market instruments, and OTC derivates. Our Operations professionals also manage transactions between mutual funds and insurance carriers and their respective investors. As a part of Operations, you are expected to provide high quality customer service, doing your best to make sure our clients succeed, and keeping their best interests as your highest priority.
