Staff Services Manager I - IT Liaison Manager

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II (Supervisory), the Staff Services Manager I will independently be responsible for understanding all DLSE program data systems used for case management and oversee timely implementation of IT projects to improve the overall functionality of the Salesforce and other platforms for claim, investigation, enforcement, licensing, certification and registration processing. The SSM I IT Liaison Manager will lead in the collection and evaluation of all data and tracking, conducting research and analysis of DLSE data and development of reporting recommendations and program guidelines for considerations by the Labor Commissioner’s Office (LCO aka DLSE) executive staff. The SSM I IT Liaison Manager is responsible for collaborating with DIR IT to develop and manage a team of Subject Matter Experts to oversee IT projects in salesforce, Service Now, other processing systems, paper and change management. The SSM I IT Liaison Manager will design evaluation tools to analyze each step of the claim, investigation, enforcement, licensing, certification and registration process and will implement tools to monitor the efficacy of the improvement projects, to ensure consistent and timely application of systems functions in all DLSE program units.

Monthly Salary:

$7,172.00 - $8,910.00

Minimum Qualifications

Either I

One year of experience in the California state service performing analytical staff duties of a class with a level of responsibility not less than that of Associate Governmental Program Analyst.

(Applicants who have completed six months of service performing the duties as specified above will be admitted to the examination, but they must satisfactorily complete one year of this experience before they can be eligible for appointment.)

Or II

Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible management, personnel, fiscal, planning, program evaluation, or related analytical experience beyond the trainee level which shall have included the preparation of reports and the presentation of recommendations to management, at least one year of which must have been in a full journeyperson technical capacity. (Experience in the California state service applied toward this requirement must include one year performing the duties of a class with a level of responsibility not less than that of Associate Governmental Program Analyst.) (In appraising experience more weight will be given to the breadth of pertinent experience and the evidence of the candidate's ability to accept and fulfill increasing responsibilities than to the length of the experience.) AND

Education: Equivalent to graduation from college. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.)
