2026 Ford Credit Summer Internship

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your Summer Experience at Ford Credit: 

Throughout this immersive 10-week program, you can expect:

Explore Your Area of Opportunity: 

Internship positions are available across several key Ford Credit functions.  Selected candidates will be placed in one area based on business needs and individual skills.  Below is an overview of the different teams you may have the opportunity to join: 

1. Ford Credit Operations - The Ford Credit Operations team plays a vital role in supporting the core function that manages financing agreements from origination to payoff, ensuring the smooth running of our "operational railroad." This includes hands-on experience across diverse areas such as contract origination, processing, customer account servicing, collections, and end-of-contract processes. During the internship, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to projects addressing key initiatives such as employee experience, future of work, or process optimization.

Who We're Looking For: Candidates with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, eager to learn the intricacies of financial services operations. 

 

2. Ford Credit Marketing Communications - Ford Credit is actively seeking a proactive and digitally-savvy Marketing Communications Intern to significantly enhance its social media presence and provide crucial support for paid media initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on digital marketing experience within the dynamic financial services sector of the automotive industry. The intern will be instrumental in social media management, assisting with the development, execution, and measurement of engaging content across diverse platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Reddit, while also monitoring channels for trends and community feedback. They will also provide paid media support, aiding in the development, execution, and monitoring of digital advertising campaigns, including social media ads and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). Furthermore, the role involves content development, contributing to compelling visual assets, ad copy, and campaign messaging that maintain brand consistency. The intern will conduct market research to inform strategy and targeting, and support performance tracking by analyzing campaign results, generating reports, and suggesting optimizations for improved reach, engagement, and conversion rates. Additionally, they will offer general marketing support for broader internal and external communications efforts and various other marketing initiatives.

3. Sales Operations - Join Ford Credit's Sales Operations and Field Sales Teams for a dynamic summer internship, offering an immersive experience supporting critical sales functions, dealer relations, and strategic initiatives. In this role, you will assist in maintaining operational procedures, documentation, and internal communication platforms, while contributing to special projects, presentations, and initiatives through gathering, analyzing, and reporting on sales performance, dealer incentives, and customer satisfaction data. You'll gain invaluable dealer engagement and field experience by observing and assisting with coordinating dealer meetings, training, and promotional events, and by participating in in-market travel with a Ford Credit Business Development Manager (BDM) to see firsthand how they consult with dealers, grow market share, and proactively mitigate risk. Additionally, the internship provides significant financial services exposure, allowing you to learn about wholesale finance, credit risk management, and Finance & Insurance product consulting through observation, alongside contributing to market intelligence by researching industry trends and competitor activities, and assisting with compliance processes. This position emphasizes collaboration, requiring you to work with various internal sales teams to understand cross-functional dependencies and how they enhance the Ford Credit value proposition. 

What You'll Gain: A comprehensive understanding of Ford Credit sales operations, practical experience in data analysis, project support, and communication, exposure to Ford Credit's dealer network and business strategies, and networking opportunities with industry professionals. 

Who We're Looking For: Candidates with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, interested in sales strategy, data analysis, and dealer relations within the financial services sector. 

 

4. Transformation Office - Ford Credit is undergoing one of the biggest transformations to better serve our dealers and customers, reshape the employee experience, and innovate far into the future. Working in the Transformation space, you will sit between our tech, product, and business teams, collaborating every day to build for the next generations. Projects in this space include creating a “Go Live” plan and training materials to roll out new products to all our dealers; analyzing data to identify risks, blockers, and areas for improvement (using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project); and planning the next product releases. 

What You'll Gain: Direct experience in strategic business transformation and digital product development, hands-on exposure to cross-functional collaboration, and practical skills in project planning, data analysis, and change management within a leading financial services organization. You'll also gain proficiency with key project management tools. 

Who We're Looking For: Proactive and analytical individuals with strong problem-solving and communication skills, eager to drive innovation and facilitate strategic change. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative environment and have an interest in bridging technology, product, and business functions. 

QUALIFICATIONS

What We're Looking For: 

To be eligible for the Ford Credit Summer Internship Program, candidates should meet the following criteria: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business-related fields or a Liberal Arts Degree. 
  • Junior-level educational status. 
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). 
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Willingness to relocate to Dearborn, MI for Summer 2026. 
  • Availability for full-time employment (and possible relocation) prior to September 2027.
