Since 2007, Accena SWPPP Services has partnered with construction contractors, developers, and excavators delivering expert Stormwater Pollution Prevention. This is a small niche that requires construction sites to have a pollution plan written and be inspected on a bi-weekly basis to verify the pollution prevention mitigations put in place are still functioning as intended. You don't need to know anything about this niche to apply.

We are seeking a Marketing & AI Lead Generation Intern to join our successful construction  subcontracting firm. This paid internship offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in strategic B2B marketing, specifically focusing on identifying and soliciting high-value General Contractor (GC) leads.

This isn't a coffee-fetching role—you will be a vital part of our growth engine, using innovative methods to connect us with our ideal clients.

💡 Your Internship Focus (What You Will Learn & Do)

You will work closely with our leadership team on campaigns targeting the construction industry. Your primary objective will be to support the identification, qualification, and initial outreach to prospective General Contractors.

  • AI-Enhanced Lead Scouting: Assist in researching and identifying target GCs using construction databases, LinkedIn, and advanced AI-driven research tools. Prior exposure or course work related to AI, machine learning, or automated tools in marketing is a strong plus!
  • Multi-Channel Outreach Support: Help draft and schedule personalized, professional outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, etc.) tailored to GC decision-makers (e.g., Estimators, Project Managers, and Oweners).
  • Content Assistance: Support the creation of compelling digital content (e.g., short case studies, service descriptions) designed to quickly capture the attention of busy GCs.
  • CRM Data Management: Learn best practices for maintaining a clean and effective Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database by accurately logging lead interactions and research data.
  • Performance Tracking: Help track and compile data on campaign effectiveness, giving you direct experience with marketing analytics and reporting.

📚 Who We Are Looking For (Your Profile)

  • Status: Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Academic Interest: A genuine interest in B2B marketing, lead generation, and the marketing industry.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media platforms (especially LinkedIn), and a willingness to learn new software quickly.
  • AI Interest (Preferred): Exposure to or coursework focused on using AI tools (e.g., generative AI for content, prompt engineering, or Agent/Gem creation) to enhance marketing efficiency.
  • Skills: Excellent written communication, strong organizational habits, and a proactive, detail-oriented work ethic.
