Test Automation Intern

Position Description 

Overall Responsibilities: 

The Test Automation Intern would support projects related to creating and maintaining Quality Controls. They would more heavily focus on understanding DevOps, understanding test automation technologies, quality controls and test coverage. They would help build out the code that allows us to create and use test automation scripts (mostly in C#), and otherwise would help create and maintain automated test.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Test Automation – Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  2. Test Execution – Execute automated test suites within the CI/CD pipeline and report defects.
  3. Collaboration – Work with QA, developers, and business analysts to ensure testing aligns with project goals.
  4. Code Reviews – Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and adherence to development standards.
  5. Test Planning – Assist in creating and reviewing test plans, test cases, and coverage analysis.
  6. Learning & Development – Learn QA best practices, test automation frameworks, and continuous integration concepts.
  7. Other Duties – Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements 

Qualifications:

  1. Majoring in Business Information Science, Computer Science, or related field
  2. Entering Junior, Senior year or Masters Level
  3. Self-motivated
  4. Strong organizational skills
  5. Proficient in C# or Similar Programming Languages
  6. Able to analyze and evaluate data
  7. Respectful of employees

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for sitting long periods of time.  Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator.  Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal.  Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
