Deseret News Internship: Utah Newsroom Videography

 

Do you love bringing stories to life through a camera lens? Join our Utah Newsroom as a videography intern and help capture the heartbeat of the Beehive State. From vibrant community events to breathtaking landscapes, your videos will showcase the stories that make Utah unforgettable.


Responsibilities:
● Video Production: Film news stories, events, and feature segments that highlight the best of Utah.
● Editing: Edit footage into compelling video content for online platforms, social media, and broadcasts.
● Storytelling: Work with reporters and editors to create dynamic visual narratives that engage audiences.
● On-Location Shooting: Travel to locations across Utah to capture interviews, events, and scenic B-roll.
● Social Media Content: Produce short, shareable videos tailored for social media engagement.
● Creative Input: Bring fresh ideas to the table for video projects and storytelling
techniques.


Qualifications:
● Passion for videography and storytelling through motion.
● Experience with video equipment and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
● Strong attention to detail and an eye for visual composition.
● Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
● Familiarity with Utah’s culture and geography is a bonus.
