Database Operations Intern - Summer 2026

Bozzuto is seeking a Database Operations Intern for Summer 2026. The Database Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting Bozzuto’s database hygiene functions, focusing on management of proprietary and purchased data solutions, reporting, and operational processes that enable effective business operations across the organization. This role is designed for a motivated student or early-career individual eager to learn about multifamily operations, data quality, reporting, and data governance.  

As the Database Operations Intern your primary responsibilities include: 

Industry & Systems Learning:

  • Learn the multifamily real estate industry foundational concepts and how the department supports broader company operations via database management
  • Gain understanding of Yardi’s role in business processes and operational workflows

Database Hygiene & Audit Support:

  • Assist with database audits and client security assessments
  • Help draft and document database hygiene standards, maintenance practices, and audit documentation

Fee Transparency & Data Import:

  • Support initiatives around fee transparency and contribute to database imports (e.g., populating fee data into Yardi Voyager) as needed
  • Learn data validation and integration fundamentals.

Reporting & Business Case Development:

  • Learn to create custom reports in Yardi; develop an understanding of when custom reports are approved and how they support business decisions
  • Assist with documenting and socializing updates for new or improved reporting

 

DSAR (Data Subject Access Request) Process Support:

  • Help with Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) process requests, including data retrieval and packaging for compliance

 

What You Bring to Us:

 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's related degree (e.g., Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or equivalent)
  • Strong interest in data operations, database systems, and real estate technology business applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable learning new systems and tools; eagerness to ask questions and seek clarity
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or basic database concepts is a plus but not required
  • Ability to work in a hybrid role - 3-4-days in our Greenbelt, MD office and 1-2 days remote
