The Opportunity

Are you looking for a "live business" experience where your work directly impacts a company's digital storefront? Dutro in Logan, Utah, is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented student or graduate student to join our team. You will be in the driver’s seat of multiple WordPress and WooCommerce websites, ensuring they operate at peak performance for our customers.

MANDARIN CHINESE SPEAKING IS A PLUS.

While our internal team handles SEM, SEO, and Social Media, you will be the backbone of our Digital Operations. You will gain hands-on experience in technical maintenance, e-commerce management, and content promotion.

Core Responsibilities

We have prioritized your tasks into three key areas of operation:

1. E-Commerce & Product Management

Product Catalog Oversight: Manage and maintain 50-60 product listings per site, ensuring SKUs, inventory data, and descriptions are accurate.
Listing Updates: Perform bulk or individual updates to product pricing, sales, and out-of-stock statuses.
Transaction Flow: Assist in troubleshooting payment gateways and shipping integrations to ensure a seamless customer checkout experience.

2. WordPress Site Operations

System Maintenance: Assist with daily maintenance, including monitoring core WordPress updates and plugin performance.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site debugging to resolve plugin conflicts and ensure site speed optimization.
Security & Logs: Monitor activity logs, email logs, and site uptime to ensure 24/7 functionality. Check and work with our accounting team regarding any order inconsistencies.

3. Content & Promotion Planning

Content Development: Assist in crafting and publishing blog posts, news articles, and promotional graphics.
Marketing Support: Help design and format email newsletters and coordinate the content calendar for product highlights.
Performance Reporting: Assist in compiling weekly "Scorecards" and monthly "Website Care Reports" to track site health and growth.

Qualifications

Current Student or Recent Graduate: Ideally in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
WordPress/WooCommerce Familiarity: A basic understanding of the WordPress backend is highly preferred.
Meticulous Detail: You must be the kind of person who catches a typo or a broken link before a customer does.
Reliability: You can manage passwords, 3rd party affiliations, and sensitive site controls with professionalism.
