Position Description
The Information Systems Business Analyst sits at the intersection of data, systems, finance, and strategy, translating business questions into structured analysis, automated reporting, and system-enabled insights.
This role partners closely with Leadership, Finance, Operations, and Information Systems to support decision-making across core initiatives including profitability, working capital, growth strategy, and M&A. The position is hands-on, highly visible, and designed for someone who wants early ownership and expanding responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & Systems Analysis
- Analyze financial, operational, customer, and product data to support strategic and operational decisions
- Develop models and analyses that connect system data to real business outcomes
- Maintain a deep understanding of how data flows across ERP, reporting, and integrated systems
Data, Reporting & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain automated reports and dashboards using SQL and Excel
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual reporting and improve data reliability
- Support data warehousing and reporting architecture to improve accessibility and speed
- Troubleshoot data issues and ensure accuracy across recurring and ad hoc reporting
Financial & Strategic Support
- Support financial modeling, projections, and scenario analysis
- Analyze working capital, profitability, and performance drivers across business units
- Provide clear KPI reporting with concise commentary for leadership
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Support due diligence through financial, operational, and systems analysis
- Assist with data migration, reporting standardization, and systems integration for acquired companies
- Track post-acquisition performance against key metrics
Collaboration & Enablement
- Partner cross-functionally to understand business needs and deliver practical solutions
- Train team members on reporting tools, SQL queries, and analytical best practices
- Support ad hoc analysis requests with speed and precision
Technology & Innovation
- Leverage AI tools and LLMs to support research, analysis, and automation
- Support ERP reporting and documentation, including SAP Crystal Reports

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Science, or related field
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Systems Analyst
- Strong SQL proficiency for data analysis and reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros)
- Solid understanding of business and financial fundamentals
- Experience supporting ERP-based reporting environments
- Interest in M&A and systems-enabled growth initiatives
- Familiarity with AI tools for analysis and productivity preferred
- Some coding experience (VBA, Python) is a plus
