The Vertafore internship program is designed to provide vital learning and practical professional experience to take with you into your future career. During the 10-week program, you will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the company while working hand in hand with various teams across the organization. As an intern, you will be assigned a specific project that will focus on an actual Vertafore need and opportunity for process improvement at Vertafore. You’ll truly be a member of the team, and in your day-to-day, you’ll work with, be mentored by, and receive valuable performance feedback from senior leadership and management teams. Interns also participate in various educational seminars, will be educated on real-world applicable workplace skills, and learn career management/development best practices.   

Responsibilities: 

In this internship, the candidate will conduct a structured audit of Vertafore’s NetSuite Sandbox environment to identify custom configuration elements that lack formal documentation.  

The outcome of this project will improve the overall quality of system metadata, better enabling Vertafore’s AI-driven code-assist and administrative tools to understand and navigate our ERP environment.  

The intern will extract structured inventories of all custom records, custom lists, body fields, transaction line fields, entity fields, and other custom field types.  

From this inventory, the intern will identify and report all objects and fields that do not contain a populated “Description” value.  

Having this information, if time permits, the intern will then hold a key role in populating these missing descriptions.   

After final review, these descriptions will then be added back into Vertafore's Netsuite system, thus enabling AI systems to more accurately understand the "flow" of data and how fields are being used.
