Electronic Health Record Specialist
Under general direction of the Manager II in the Evaluation & Data Innovation Branch, within the Research, Evaluation and Data Insights (REDI) Division, the incumbent will perform the most complex and technical tasks related to ongoing central support for Electronic Health Record (EHR) System implementation, identify and solve mission critical and "showstopper" issues regarding EHR implementation and maintenance, provide development and mockups of metrics and data analytics. The specialists will identify data elements and translate requirements into data extraction/transformation business rules. The specialists will create and manage reports and dashboards for development and measures for success. The specialists will serve as the bridge between Technology and Program/Hospitals and will be responsible for ensuring that up-to-date and accurate reporting systems and tools are readily available. The specialists will collaborate with hospitals and Sacramento staff to develop and maintain enterprise reporting standards and best practices within EHR's new reporting capabilities and will maintain libraries with standards, common data pulls and methodology specifications.
Independence of action and the ability to manage time and multiple priorities is required. Minimal travel (5%) may be required. This position will require a background check via Cal DOJ Live Scan to fulfill the responsibilities of the job.
