Location: Los Angeles County, CA

Emergency Appointment | Salary: $76,804.32 - $103,495.68 Annually

Monthly Salary: $6,400.36 - $8,624.64 Monthly

Take on a higher-level technical support role serving the County's homelessness emergency response. This position supports moderately complex troubleshooting, end-user training, upgrade projects, standards-based device support, and customer service improvements in a centralized Windows environment. This emergency appointment is for up to 90 days initially, with the opportunity for permanent County employment based on performance.

What You'll Do:

  • Install, configure, maintain, test, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
  • Resolve moderately complex hardware, software, and network issues and recommend or implement service improvements
  • Lead smaller installation or upgrade efforts, support larger projects, and help define hardware/software standards
  • Conduct end-user training, support software distribution tools, and coordinate delivery, licensing, and asset activities

Minimum Requirements:

  • Option I: One year of experience within the last five years at the level of an Information Technology Technical Support Analyst I in a centralized IT organization
  • Option II: Two years of experience within the last five years installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing client devices or software in a Windows environment in a centralized IT organization
  • Valid California Class C Driver License, or ability to use an alternative method of transportation

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience supporting homelessness services systems within a public agency
  • Experience configuring live-event audio systems, troubleshooting Wifi Access Points, or providing virtual technical assistance
  • Recent experience with LAHSA or another public homelessness services agency is especially valued
