Activity Sharing Intern | Missionary Department

Job Description

 

We are seeking a qualified candidate to work as an intern with the Missionary Department Finding division to support ward, stake and area leaders in using “Activity Sharing” tools. This role will focus more on areas outside of the United States. This effort is a specific application of helping members share the gospel by emulating Christ and loving, sharing and inviting. 

This role will provide you with experience in applying principles of product and project management, particularly related to product implementation. It also includes experience in training and may include applying principles of marketing.

Responsibilities

 

  • Support implementation of activity sharing tools and principles, with a more specific focus on Latin America.
  • Train local leaders on tools, technology and principles in Spanish and support on training calls in English as needed. Follow up and ensure they have the support needed to use the tools as their leaders direct. 
  • Monitor data on implementation and results and act accordingly to improve outcomes. 
  • Meet challenging deadlines, work in harmony with other people, take direction on each assignment, and give full attention to detail. 
  • Show independence in working, tact, and diplomacy. 
  • Demonstrate sound judgment of Church doctrine, organization, policy and protocol in interactions with others.

Qualifications

 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Proficiency in training local leaders outside of the United States in Spanish or Portuguese. 
  • Ability to train users on software usage in a clear and effective manner
  • Ability to motivate and teach relevant principles in a concise and inspiring way
  • Ability to understand and configure analytical reports in Tableau, translate and share relevant information with managers and area leaders along with recommendations of action items based on the information in the reports

Comfortable using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp and potentially other communication apps for training sessions

 

This position requires 15-20 hours per week, will last 6 to 11 months, and is a hybrid work arrangement (some hours in person and some remote). It involves working some evenings and weekends.
