Overview
NOVA Experiences and Up-Fashion Boutique is seeking a creative and detail-oriented intern to help us develop a new line of modern embroidery kits. This role blends traditional needlework with emerging AI tools to reimagine and modernize vintage patterns.
You will work with a curated archive of embroidery patterns (early 2000s and earlier), transforming them into fresh, contemporary designs aligned with the NOVA brand. This is a unique opportunity to be at the intersection of craft, design, and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze existing embroidery patterns for structure, style, and technique
- Digitize patterns through scanning, formatting, and organization
- Use AI tools to generate new pattern variations and creative concepts
- Refine and adapt AI-generated outputs into clean, usable embroidery designs
- Create clear, beginner-friendly instruction sheets for embroidery kits
- Assist in developing visual layouts for pattern sheets and packaging inserts
- Collaborate with the NOVA team to ensure designs align with brand identity
- Participate in light prototyping and testing of embroidery kits

Ideal Candidate
- Interest in embroidery, sewing, textile arts, or DIY crafts
- Strong attention to detail and visual organization
- Comfortable learning and experimenting with AI tools (no prior expertise required)
- Creative thinker with an eye for modern aesthetics
- Organized and able to follow multi-step processes
- Basic familiarity with design tools (Canva, Illustrator, or similar) is a plus
Compensation
- Base hourly pay (to be determined)
- Potential for continued role or expanded responsibilities after internship
