About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer Intern to support data-driven initiatives within Procurement Operations at Federal Home Loan Bank SF. This role offers hands-on experience working with enterprise systems, data pipelines, and reporting tools to improve data quality, visibility, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in data cleanup and standardization efforts across supplier and contract datasets 
  • Support the development of data pipelines and integrations between enterprise systems and reporting tools 
  • Contribute to building dashboards and reports in Power BI to support business insights 
  • Help automate reporting processes, including cost visibility (showback) and contract renewals tracking 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accuracy, governance, and usability 
  • Document processes and support continuous improvement initiatives 


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field 
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, data structures, and ETL/data pipeline concepts 
  • Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Excel, or similar analytics platforms 
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
