About the Team
The Global Corporate Reporting team is a core pillar of BlackRock’s Finance & Strategy function. The team is responsible for monthly senior management reporting, including Flash and Balance Sheet reporting, global balance sheet reconciliation, and the consolidation of BlackRock’s books and records, with a strong focus on accuracy and control. In executing these responsibilities, the team partners closely with regional controllers across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific to drive consistency and discipline across the global close and consolidation process, while engaging regularly with senior management and key stakeholders.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join the Global Corporate Reporting & Consolidation team. This individual will play a hands-on role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the group, contributing to both recurring close and reporting cycles and strategic process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to deepen their technical accounting expertise while gaining broad exposure to a complex, globally integrated reporting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Management Deliverables
- Support the preparation of monthly senior management reports, including global flash reports and balance sheet packages distributed to executive leadership
- Contribute to the creation of pro-forma P&L and balance sheet templates for use by global controllers across all regions
Regional Controller Coordination
- Coordinate and help lead monthly close review meetings with controllers in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific
- Liaise with controllers globally and across all levels of management to gather timely responses to time-sensitive inquiries
Reconciliation & Consolidation
- Participate in balance sheet reconciliation reviews and serve as Global Administrator of the balance sheet reconciliation system (ARCS)
- Support the Global Consolidation process utilizing Oracle FCCS, ensuring accuracy and completeness of consolidated financials
Audit & Controls Support
- Compile and maintain documentation for external auditors and SOX teams on a quarterly basis, ensuring audit-defensible workpapers and clear control evidence
Process Improvement & Ad Hoc Projects
- Engage in and manage ad hoc projects spanning automation, system upgrades, and process improvements, contributing to the team's broader efficiency and scalability agenda
Qualifications & Skills
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting
- 0 to 2 years of experience in audit, accounting, or financial systems, including exposure to monthly and quarterly close processes
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, as-adjusted reporting, and technical accounting concepts is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels and geographies
- High attention to detail with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with analytical and data visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
- Experience with accounting ERP and reporting systems, including Oracle Cloud (FCCS / EDMCS), FCCS, Oracle SmartView, or ARCS / Blackline / Cadency is preferred
