Software Engineering Intern (Technical Analyst)
Position Overview
Healthy Amplified (HA) is an early-stage healthcare technology company focused on driving adoption of a 510(k)-cleared medical software platform used by primary care physicians, hospital systems, and healthcare partners. Our platform leverages clinically validated neuroscience software (CANTAB™) to support cognitive screening for ADHD, PTSD, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and depression.
This internship is educational and experiential in nature and is structured to comply with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) primary beneficiary test. The role is intended to provide students with hands-on exposure to software development, platform architecture support, and technical operations in a regulated healthcare technology environment.
Compensation Disclosure (Required)
- This is an unpaid internship.
- Interns do not receive wages, salary, or hourly cash compensation.
- Participants may be offered non-cash, deferred consideration (such as a convertible note or equity-linked instrument) under a separate contractual agreement.
- Any non-cash consideration is not guaranteed, has no current cash value, and is not a substitute for wages.
- Candidates must be comfortable participating without cash compensation for the duration of the internship.
Learning Objectives
Interns will gain exposure to:
- Full-stack software development in a healthcare technology environment
- Regulated software development practices and 510(k) platform context
- Agile and startup technical workflows alongside senior technical leadership
- Technical documentation, API integration, and system architecture support
Responsibilities
- Develop and push code contributions to the company’s core technology stack.
- Collaborate directly with the CTO and technical advisors on feature development and architecture decisions.
- Document technical specifications, API behaviors, and system workflows.
- Debug, test, and iterate on code in a fast-moving early-stage startup environment.
- Support integration work between the CANTAB™ platform and downstream clinical and operational workflows.
Training & Supervision
- All trainings, meetings, and deliverables are part of the educational internship experience.
- Interns receive mentorship, structured guidance, and learning feedback.
- No expectation of replacing paid employees or performing routine operational labor.
Eligibility Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited university.
- Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior standing only.
- Majors of interest include Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
