Information Technology Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Policy and Planning: Contributing to strategic IT planning, policy development, resource management, and information security initiatives across the organization.
- Enterprise Architecture: Participating in the analysis, design, and management of the enterprise IT framework.
- Security: Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of security programs, policies, and tools to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
- Applications Software: Participating in the development, modification, testing, and support of new and existing applications software.
- Systems: Supporting the planning, installation, configuration, and management of NASIC’s systems environment.
- Network Services: Contributing to the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of networked systems.
- Data Management: Participating in the development, implementation, and administration of systems for data acquisition, storage, and retrieval.
- Systems Administration: Assisting in the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Customer Support: Providing customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly desired.
- Operating Systems: Proficiency with Windows, macOS, Linux, or other relevant OS.
- Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Hardware: Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting.
- Software Installation & Configuration: Ability to install, configure, and update software applications.
- Security Fundamentals: Awareness of security best practices, threat landscapes, and basic security tools.
- Scripting/Automation: Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automating tasks.
- Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to provide customer service and support to end-users.
