Data Detective (Marketing Analytics Intern- Remote)

The Short Version

We have a lot of numbers and not enough people asking them good questions.

About Your Home Page

Working here means life inside an early-stage startup: a small team, fast decisions, and real ownership from day one. There's no ladder of approvals to climb — if you have an idea worth testing, you're pitching it to the team and trying it out that same week. You'll wear more than one hat, priorities can shift day to day, and progress is measured by what actually ships, not hours logged. Interns get real projects instead of busywork, and it's common to see something you built go live to real customers within days. We love using AI and are not afraid to use it to 10x our work.

Your Home Page is a platform that turns social media into a place people can actually shop for homes. Someone sees a post, taps in, and can view the listing or message the agent directly.

The Role

Every part of our business generates data: ad spend, Instagram engagement, website traffic, trial signups, sales conversations. As our Data Detective, you'll pull it together, look for the pattern nobody's noticed yet, and tell us what it means in plain English (TLDR).

The best part of this role: you'll be asked for your interpretation, not just your spreadsheet. Being the person who can explain why the number moved is what makes an analyst valuable.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain dashboards tracking performance across paid ads, organic social, email, and the website
  • Produce a weekly performance report the whole team reads
  • Analyze our sales pipeline and flag where leads stall out
  • Run and interpret A/B tests on ads, landing pages, and content
  • Audit data quality in our CRM and clean up what's messy
  • Bring us one surprising finding a month. The thing nobody asked you to look for

What You'll Walk Away With

  • A portfolio of real dashboards and analyses using live business data
  • Practical fluency in Excel/Google Sheets, and exposure to HubSpot, Meta Ads Manager, and product analytics tools
  • Experience translating data into a recommendation a decision-maker can act on
  • The single most in-demand skill combination in marketing right now: analytical and able to communicate

Who We're Looking For

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
  • Genuinely comfortable with spreadsheets. Pivot tables don't scare you
  • You like puzzles and you're stubborn about finding the answer
  • Can explain a finding to someone with no data background
  • Bonus points: SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Looker, or Google Analytics experience. None required

Preferred Majors

Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Marketing, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems

How to Apply

Apply through Handshake with:

  1. Your resume
  2. A short note (150 words max) telling us about your career goals. Skip the formal cover letter or AI slop. We'd rather hear how you actually talk and how we can help you achieve your career goals.
  3. A link to something you've made. A portfolio, a social account you run, a class project, a spreadsheet you're weirdly proud of, a TikTok that did numbers, a school project. Anything. If you don't have one, share a company that inspires you and why.

We review applications on a rolling basis and reply to every applicant. Questions? Email hello@yourhomepage.ai.

Want to show us you read the entire job description? Email us & introduce yourself.

Your Home Page is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of every background, and we especially encourage students who don't see themselves in traditional tech job postings to apply anyway.

  • Location: 100% remote. Work from anywhere in the U.S.
