Voice AI Front/Backend/Full Stack/Data Software Engineering Internship Summer 2026

Internship Tracks

Frontend Engineering Track

  • Build reactive, high-performance interfaces for 16–55" touchscreen displays
  • Implement real-time feedback for vision/voice systems (e.g. waveform display, camera framing)
  • Handle complex browser rendering, video/audio playback, and animation flows
     

Backend Engineering Track

  • Build APIs and services for STT/TTS, computer vision, and recommendation workflows
  • Handle real-time input from edge devices and run inference pipelines
  • Manage performance, memory, and latency for on-device and cloud services
     

Full Stack Engineering Track

  • Own features end-to-end — from database schema to UI polish
  • Combine voice, vision, and touch into coherent user interactions
  • Coordinate between cloud infrastructure and hardware-level inputs

Data Engineering & Infrastructure

  • Create robust pipelines to log voice, vision, and touch data across multiple devices
  • Design data schemas to support real-time interactions, training loops, and dashboard analytics
  • Develop tools to ingest and enrich product databases from web sources and APIs
  • Manage scalable storage for logs, audio/video, and session metadata
     

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or Computer/Robotics Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • You are an expert in using AI coding agents
  • You’ve built real stuff outside of class — side projects, open-source, or production code
  • You understand the fundamentals: data structures, debugging, Git, clean code
  • You’re driven, curious, and take ownership of problems
  • You don’t wait around to be told what to do

Program Details

  • 15 hours weekly 
  • Flexible Schedule: The above can be adjusted to accommodate your school or personal schedule, with a minimum total commitment of 20 weeks.
  • Locations: NYC, Seattle, or Remote.

Application Process

  • Resume/application review
  • Complete a 3 - 5 hour long homework assignment (will be emailed to candidates who passed resume screening)
  • 2 rounds of 40-50 minute interviews
