Kia Georgia is seeking a Security Tech Engineer Specialist to support site security, emergency preparedness, and physical security technology systems at our manufacturing facility in West Point, GA. In this role, you will help safeguard team members, visitors, contractors, and company assets while partnering with internal departments and external public safety agencies to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant workplace.
What You'll Do
- Support daily security operations, staffing coordination, inspections, and reporting.
- Manage and maintain security technology systems, including access control, CCTV, surveillance, and weapons detection systems.
- Assist with emergency response planning, drills, incident management, and crisis response activities.
- Conduct security investigations, prepare incident reports, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with HR, IT, Legal, and other departments on security initiatives and compliance programs.
- Support CTPAT, ISO 27001, and other corporate security requirements.
- Coordinate training and certification requirements for security personnel.
- Build relationships with local law enforcement, emergency management agencies, and public safety partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Homeland Security, or a related field preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, physical security, manufacturing, or similar environments.
- Experience with security systems, investigations, emergency response, and compliance programs.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency on-call situations.
