BYU CXL Mentorship with BYU Googlers Program

The goal of the BYU CXL Mentorship with BYU Googlers Program is to provide BYU Alumni at Google the opportunity to mentor select BYU students and help facilitate growth and development of individual talent that would in turn increase opportunity for future employment at top tier FAANG Companies (Facebook (Meta), Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google, etc.)

Since the program is sponsored by BYU CXL along with BYU Marriott and not Google, there is no guaranteed headcount for BYU graduates into the Google recruiting ecosystem. With that being said, the program is aimed at developing BYU talent in the following areas:

  1. Personal Branding / Resume Building
  2. Networking Skills and Self-Learning
  3. Interviewing and Developing Industry Level Skill-Sets

The accepted mentees will be assigned a mentor and the official mentorship program will begin the following January and run throughout the calendar year. Mentors will be expected but not limited to  quarterly check-ins (Mentors can use their own discretion to have additional supplemental mentoring check-ins). In addition to the check-ins there will be special training and events to help the students.

This mentorship program is not an official Google recruiting event, so there is no guarantee of job placement upon the completion of his program. Admitted students are encouraged to continue to maintain connections and pursue professional networking with BYU Googlers upon completion of the program.
