Description:
The Summer Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Planning and helping to coordinate activities for all youth programming
- Overseeing the leaders in training program for high school students who are interested in leadership development
- Day-to-day scheduling for staff and campers
- Creating and and coordinating All-Camp Games and activities
- Helping solve problems, occasionally supervising campers, and checking in with all staff to see if needs are met.
- Other duties as assigned
This position is considered a leadership role at Lutherdale and will oversee many different tasks. Applicants must be able to think on their feet, communicate well with peers and superiors, and uphold all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Applicants that are at least 21 years old, 2 years of college, and camp or related experience with children will be preferred. Applicants are asked to have completed at least 1 year of post high school schooling or be at least 19 years of age will also be considered. Must be comfortable working with all ages and must have a valid driver’s license.
Limited Contract: May 28 to August 11, 2024

Students who have previously been a camp counselor/staff are encouraged to apply. Staff do not need to be religious but know this is a Lutheran Summer Camp. We welcome LGBTQ+ and BIPOC staff and are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Staff will be housed on-site and have all meals provided to them while camp is in session. Staff will be compensated for their time. Those seeking internship credit will also be considered. See more information at www.lutherdale.org/summer-staff.
