Social Media Internship

Plant3r is building food freedom and resilient local communities around the country. Our mission is to train people to grow food for themselves indoors with grow lights as a great first step towards achieving 'food freedom'. (the ability to grow more food for you or your family year over year)

Free Virtual Indoor Gardening Class-we help anyone interested in growing food indoors with lights get started with a free overview and garden build class hosted over Zoom and at Eventbrite.com.

Digital Courses-we sell digital courses on our website to help people get started growing their own food year-round indoors using LED grow lights. Our garden building course features an AI chatbot called the Green Thumb Guide or “GTG” powered by Chatgpt. 

Virtual Community-we host a vibrant online indoor food growing community where people from all over the world can share their experience. Our community holds regular learning events and hosts a collection of valuable resources for building your first indoor garden. (Seed lists, growing kit recommendations, etc.)

 Monthly Indoor Growing Challenge-compete with indoor food growers from all over the world to see who can grow the most greens, herbs, and fruits in a monthly growing challenge. The goal is to push your growing skills to the next level in a fun environment with people all over the world!

 

As a Social Media Intern at Plant3r, you would:

- manage social media channels and keep the community engaged

- create engaging content to build an online presence for Plant3r including sharing video snippets from our awesome podcast and intro class

- work directly with the CEO to form effective branding and identify new channels for growth

-generate weekly email content to enhance brand presence with the Plant3r subscriber base

We're looking for a self-starter who can work with our vision, preferably with the following:

- experience and passion for social media management

- some agriculture and technical knowledge is also beneficial

This is for Summer and Fall 2024 and is limited to five hours per week of remote work and one half hour meeting conducted virtually with the executive team to review marketing strategy.
