Summer Intern/Data Operations

Department Description:

The Data Strategy and Operations team at ViiV Healthcare operates with a focus on data quality, data availability, and end-to-end asset onboarding. The overall goal of the department is to enhance current data capabilities and increase business collaboration to quickly deliver data for insights. This internship presents an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in data strategy and operations within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Job Description:

  • Assist with administrative and operational duties associated with project management that include planning, supporting implementation of agile framework and execution.
  • Use data to analyze trends, deep dive to infer cause and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Support operational excellence through collaboration, stakeholder engagement, process mapping and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Quantitative Management, Data Management, Technology Management OR pursuing a MBA with an IT concentration.
  • Project management; understanding of the agile framework.
  • SQL and data visualization
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week internship (May/June - August 2024).
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Data modeling

Benefits:

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.
  • GSK Interns and Co-ops are offered a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits. Please note, benefits eligibility determined the month following date of hire.
