IT Quality Assurance Intern

As a Cheesecake IT Quality Assurance Intern you will play an integral part in supporting our Information Technology department by assisting with ongoing projects and responsibilities that relate to your future career. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of how an IT department functions by interacting with the entire team as well as cross functionally with other departments.

 

Reporting to the Sr Director, Project Management and QA, you will work with a couple different project teams, located in Calabasas Hills, CA, for a global $3.3 billion publicly traded company with over 300 full-service restaurants and more than 47,500 staff members.

Responsibilities

 

Here’s more of what you will get to do:

  • Callaborate with a small team of testers (from IT and the business areas) on a couple different projects.
  • Review the requirements of the new system and develop test scripts to plan the testing that you will be doing. Tests should include both what the system should do and exceptions to see how the system handles inputs that are not correct.
  • Using the test scripts, test the system and record the results. Once fixed, test the system again to ensure that the fix was applied correctly.


Qualifications

 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution.
  • Completed a minimum 2 years in post-secondary education.
  • Majoring in IT or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
