Position: Training Camp Assistant – Systems Developer – Full Time/Temporary/Non-Exempt

Department: Football Operations – Analytics

Reports to: Manager, Football Analytics

Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ) and State Farm Stadium (Glendale, AZ)

Format: In-person

Duration: 2024 NFL Training Camp Mid-July - August

Job Summary:

The Arizona Cardinals Training Camp Assistant – Systems Developer is sponsored by the Analytics Department located at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Facility in Tempe, AZ. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for committed, hardworking, and dedicated individuals that are seeking to gain a future career in Systems Development, including first-hand experience in a National Football League (NFL) environment. The Training Camp Assistant – Systems Developer assists in maintaining web applications for internal football departments.

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Training Camp Assistant – Systems Developer will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following:

  • Maintain web applications for internal football departments.
  • Collaborate with other developers and end users in troubleshooting and solving new issues.
  • Understand requirements, implement designs, and produce documentation.
  • Produce support and bug fixes for applications.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled in or graduated from a bachelor program in computer science, data engineering, web development, or other related fields.
  • Experience: Basic knowledge and concepts of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, SQL R, Python, C#, VB.NET or other programming languages required.
  • Ability to maintain high energy and a positive attitude on a team united toward the common goals of championship-level performance.
  • Effective communication skills with all individuals across the organization.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity around professional athlete data in their work environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
