Client Support Specialist (Student Information Systems):

This is a full time position within the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit’s (CSIU) Computer Services department to meet the needs of our growing client base. Position is responsible for providing client support for the CSIU student administrative software applications (student information systems). 

 

Salary Range: $46,000 to $51,500 dependent on education, applicable experience and skills. This is an exempt position following a 260 days per year, 12-month work schedule.  This opportunity includes excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance; retirement options including Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) and life insurance options.

 

This full-time position follows a regular Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week) work schedule.  Although the position offers the opportunity to telework from home, occasional in-person attendance at the CSIU Main Office, located in Milton, PA, and in-person visits to clients, meetings, and trainings in Pennsylvania will be required.  Transportation to the Main Office is the employee’s responsibility.  Certain requirements based upon CSIU telework policy and administrative regulations must be met. The CSIU has the right to cancel or suspend the employee teleworking privileges at any time, for any or no reason, due to the requirement of the CSIU and client needs.

 

Education, experience, and skills required include:

  • An Associate's degree preferred with experience working in a basic education environment or working with school business office and/or student administration applications.  Will consider a High School Diploma/equivalent General Education Diploma (GED) and a combination of skills and experience involving two (2) plus years of experience working with schools on student information systems/student administration software applications.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
  • An understanding of computer programming is helpful, but not essential.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for working with clients.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff members, as communicating customer needs depends on this.
  • An understanding of computer programming is helpful, but not essential.
  • Requires the ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships using tact and diplomacy and to remain calm in unpredictable situations.

 

Candidates with higher degrees (Bachelor’s, Master’s etc.) are encouraged to apply as the higher end of the salary range is dependent on experience, education and skill level. Also, experience working within accounting, financial, and human resources fields is helpful.
