WordPress Developer Intern
Job Summary:
This is an intern position that offers real world exposure in web development, to build a strong base in marketing. The intern will be responsible for designing and implementing WordPress plugins, themes and customizations, under the direction of our CEO. Our industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, and we’re constantly working to create valuable content and initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Create WordPress websites
- Configure and maintain our current WebPress sites.
- Work in WordPress to manage content, create documentation, create blogs, articles and pages.
- Research, download and analyze Google Analytics.
- Other tasks as assigned by the CEO.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Back-End Web development experience
- Front-End Development and responsive design skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Active listening skills and the ability to draw useful feedback from internal and client teams.
- Ability to organize creative assets
Education and Experience:
- Current enrollment in a university program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Understanding of modern web development techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Creativity, and the desire to bring us current trends and input.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
