Non-Clinical Drug Safety (NDS) AI & Digital Innovation - Co-Op
Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Co-Op to join our Non-Clinical Drug Safety (NDS) AI & Digital Innovation department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. As a Co-Op, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team of data scientists and AI experts. As a Co-Op, you'll join a dynamic team, curating extensive datasets to unlock vital Toxicology documents. This hands-on experience, testing your analytical and critical thinking skills, offers a unique insight into the pharmaceutical industry.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement innovative solutions.
- Analyze complex datasets related to various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, identifying patterns and trends.
- Actively participate in innovation projects, applying your analytical skills to solve real-world challenges.
- Assist in the design and development of new data-driven tools and applications.
- Present your findings and insights to team members and stakeholders, contributing to informed decision-making.
- Continuously learn about new technologies and methodologies in the field, staying at the forefront of industry developments.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations, maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship.
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
- Major or minor in related field of internship
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university.
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in a relevant field.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and draw meaningful insights, using strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and proactively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating high motivation and proactive behavior.
- Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest trends in the field.
- Programming experience is recommended but not required.
Compensation Data
This position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 / hr. - $33.00 / hr. USD commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here.
