Summer Intern - Cybersecurity
Overview
The Insmed Summer Internship Program gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment in the pharmaceutical industry, receive mentoring from highly skilled professionals, and work on dynamic team projects. Our 2025 Summer Intern program is a full-time (40 hours per week), paid internship. The internship may present opportunities for rotational assignments within the function, and the intern will be assigned goals and objectives that will support the strategic business plan of the company.
Responsibilities
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Summer Intern to join our CyberSecurity team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while contributing to the protection of our critical information assets.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and incidents.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls and policies.
- Participate in the review and updating of security awareness training programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Support data governance initiatives to ensure the integrity and security of sensitive information.
- Assist in the review, development, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Participate in incident response activities, including preparation, detection, analysis, and recovery.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range
$25 - $35 an hour
