Position Summary
Credit One Bank is looking for a Compliance Risk Analyst Intern who will be responsible for performing second line of defense (2LOD) duties, which includes testing regulatory requirements for the Bank. The position reports to the Vice President (VP) of Enterprise Risk (Second Line Compliance Testing [SLCT] Team). The intern will perform end-to-end execution of a compliance testing review or exceptions monitoring project, which includes analyzing and assessing applicable laws and regulations.
Position Requirements:
- Undergraduate Junior (entering junior year) or Senior (must have one semester/quarter remaining).
- Majoring in Business Management, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Data Science, English, History, Legal Studies, Mathematics, Sociology, or a related field.
- Intermediate-to-advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Present in Las Vegas, NV, for the Summer Internship Program: June 9, 2025 – August 15, 2025 (10-weeks at 40 hours a week).
- This position is not open to sponsorship.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Review risk assessments in testing and as needed (e.g., when required by new, or amended, regulations and/or new product types in the Bank).
- Perform testing of compliance risks/ regulatory requirements.
- Manage review processes to ensure testing is completed accurately, with quality, and within testing timelines.
- Follow-up and follow-through with management and business partners to ensure corrective action has been taken on issues identified in testing.
- Create written reports of findings and recommendations for senior leadership and executive management.

Program Goals and Objectives:
The intern will perform end-to-end execution of a compliance testing review or exceptions monitoring (EM) project, which includes analyzing and assessing applicable laws and regulations. Reviews are performed in 5 phases; EM are performed in 7 phases, each with multiple tasks and sub-tasks.
The intern will learn a variety of skills and gain real-world experience, with key learnings in the following areas:
- Partnerships and collaboration

- Controls environment
- Testing/Auditing
- Root Cause Analysis
