Supply Chain Analyst Intern
The Supply Chain Analyst Intern will analyze customer fill rates, order shifting impacts, and opportunities for customer service segmentation. This role will provide critical insights to improve supply chain efficiency, enhance service metrics, and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Job Description
- Calculate case fill rates by customer and channel to establish a comprehensive service baseline.
- Analyze orders that are pushed out, including reason codes and trends, to understand their impact on the supply chain.
- Develop recommendations for customer service segmentation to optimize distribution and transportation costs.
- Collaborate with supply chain and customer service teams to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.
Education:
- Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and statistical analysis.
- Strong skills in data analysis and trend identification.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with supply chain metrics is a plus.
A housing stipend is available to interns whose primary residence is 50 or more miles from the internship location.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work involves light exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, and/or noise.
- Moderate physical effort required, such as standing, sitting, and walking in and around the office; the ability to lift up to 25 pounds; reaching, climbing, and kneeling as needed; utilizing fine dexterity, the ability to see, hear, and communicate with associates and others by using professional etiquette.
- Personal protective equipment, as defined by C.H. Guenther and Son, will be provided.
