Location

We’re seeking a dynamic and motivated contributor to join our team in one of our key office locations: San Francisco. Our interns will be hybrid -  sometimes you'll work from home, sometimes you'll work from the office. Managers and their organization will establish the frequency you'll need to go into the office to meet priorities.

About the Internship

Are you ready to dive into the world of financial technology and gain hands-on experience with Anaplan? Join us as an Anaplan Intern at Okta, where you’ll be an integral part of our dynamic Business Technology team. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern who’s eager to contribute to impactful projects and learn from experienced Anaplan professionals in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will work closely with Anaplan professionals to contribute to the design, development, and optimization of our financial planning models. 

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Shape Financial Excellence: Assist in building and enhancing Anaplan models to aid financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Engage with Experts: Work with the Finance and FP&A teams to gather and document business requirements.
  • Transform Data: Contribute to data integration efforts, including importing, transforming, and validating data within Anaplan models.
  • Troubleshoot and Innovate: Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Anaplan models, dashboards, and calculations.
  • Ensure Quality: Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, and issue tracking.
  • Optimize and Scale: Help improve model performance and scalability by identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Document Best Practices: Create or update documentation for models, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams, including BT, and Finance, to deliver solutions.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and graduating between December 2025 and June 2026 (inclusive).
  • Familiarity with financial planning concepts and processes (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, reporting).
  • Proficiency with Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables).
  • Basic understanding of data modeling and analysis.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
