Desktop Support/Tech Bar Technician

We are seeking an experienced helpdesk, tech bar, desktop support technician to join our team! We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing desktop support in a corporate setting, preferably financial services or trading floor. 

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 6 months to 1 year (possible extension)

Hours: 40 hours a week expected

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software in a walk up environment
  • Mid Level experience with Win10 OS, MS Teams, MS 365 Products, Iphone Basics, Wyse Terminals
  • Understanding of Virtualization, VDI theory, hands on experience with AV equipment
  • Build laptops and desktops
  • Resolve issues for clients in person, or electronically
  • Recommend hardware and software improvements
  • Track customer issues and resolutions

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields specifically financial services
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a management team that is not onsite
  • Professional presentation
  • Bilingual French/English preferred
  • Excellent punctuality and attendance
  • Reliable communication.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Positive and professional demeanor
