Position: Financial Planning & Analysis Intern
Location: KEEN’s Global Headquarters in Portland, Oregon (on-site)
Duration: 10 weeks
Compensation: $20/hour
Program Duration: Monday, June 16th – Friday, August 22nd
What You'll Do
The Financial Planning & Analysis Intern will work closely with the Finance team to provide analytical support for key business decisions and initiatives. The role will assist in maintaining and analyzing financial data, creating reports, and supporting business leaders with actionable insights. This role will collaborate across business units to solve critical business challenges. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial planning, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration, making it an excellent opportunity to develop a strong foundation in corporate finance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and execute various ad hoc projects, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
- Develop and implement standardized and automated processes for senior leadership’s monthly and quarterly reporting to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Research and design new daily sales trend analysis and forecasting models using artificial intelligence algorithms, regression techniques, and other quantitative/statistical methods to enhance predictive capabilities.
- Assist finance and accounting teams with budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis to support key decision-making processes.
- Analyze large datasets, identify trends, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to optimize reporting.
- Provide ad hoc financial modeling and analysis to support ongoing business initiatives and strategic planning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field
- Specialization or coursework in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or Business Analytics is a plus
- Knowledge or experience in quantitative analysis, artificial intelligence algorithms, or statistical analysis preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, forecasting, and data modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools and data visualization software such as Power BI, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow financial statements.
- Must be enrolled an accredited college or university at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.
- Must be able to dedicate 40 hours/week toward the internship during normal M-F PST working hours
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to learn new software programs.
- Ability to solve problems with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and on tight deadlines.
- Able to sit and/or stand at a desk and use a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to learn new software programs such as SAP Enterprise, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC,) SAP Business Objects (BO,) and Adaptive Insights.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

Program Requirements:
To qualify for this internship, you must:
- Be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
- Be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Commit to a 10-week program from mid-June through mid-August
- Dedicate 40 hours per week during standard M-F, PST working hours
- All roles are located in Portland, OR. Must be able to move to Portland during the duration of the internship if you are not already living here.
- Plan no more than four total days of vacation during the internship
