MIS & Data Analyst

Our company is pivoting to new IT systems and is planning a hybrid architecture consisting of a data warehouse that acts as a hub to integrate all systems data; complemented with a few point-to-point interfaces that circumvent the hub to communicate live operational data between applications, at a near real-time rate. 

As a MIS and Data Analyst, you will lead the integration of multiple systems, addressing the needs of different user groups. You will take responsibility for managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues. You will also upgrade and install hardware and software, providing training and assistance where necessary. 

An MIS or Computer Science degree is required. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain MIS systems (i.e., system development and upgrades, application interfaces, data entry, reporting, and data archiving). 
  • Train and educate employees to optimize systems use. Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence. 
  • Provide technical support to users. 
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware configurations, software upgrades, and new software installations to meet users' needs. 
  • Help define the integration and dataflow architecture and evaluate Ecommerce customers’ web services and API capabilities. 
  • Connect Ecommerce distributor stores with our ERP system, focusing on automatically sharing information. 
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. 
  • Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data. Verify data integrity and consistency across different sources.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

What is Triad Components looking for? 

  • Good hands-on experience in Python (Requests library).
  • Understanding HTTP protocols and knowledge on HTTP headers, request/response, XML/JSON/CSV data structure, HTTP status codes, GET/POST methods.
  • Familiarity with EDI systems and FTP, SFTP protocols.
  • MS SQL Server database knowledge. Proven experience with writing SQL scripts, queries, and stored procedures to extract data.
  • Strong MS Excel experience (Formulas, Vlookups, Pivot Tables. Sorting etc).
  • Experience in CRM systems.
  • The ability to analyse, model, interpret data and write clearly composed documentation about the findings.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A willingness to learn and not afraid to make mistakes.
  • Goal driven with the ability to excel in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to set priorities, plan and organize effectively.
