What I liked
I loved my experience. I learned so much, particularly about my field of interest. I worked with experts who knew so much and were always delighted to share. I learned more about Russia, intelligence, research, and the government than I did during previous government internships. Not to mention, I was absolutely spoiled by the everyone's friendly attitude, the welcoming and comfortable office, and accommodating work from home options.
What I wish was different
It's an office job, occasionally it was tedious. But it would've been less tedious if I was knowledgeable about more advanced Excel tricks. And I was never pushing around emails or stuck waiting for instruction.
Advice
Sometimes when you're surrounded by such amazing experts in your field, it can be scary to ask a question. Specialists constantly surrounded by other specialists can easily forget that their common knowledge is hardly common at all, never be afraid to ask.
