I didn’t like the work I was doing. B2B outside sales is grueling and there was a lot of behind the scenes political drama happening between sales managers and between employees.
Advice
It is an extremely high stress environment and competition between fellow employees is very high which causes a lot of conflict.

What I liked
I liked working in a fast paced environment with many other associates who had a common goal. My general manager was very clear on the goals that we needed to reach and was very engaging with both the customers as well as the employees.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more training so that customers wouldn't have to wait as long on certain requests they had.
Advice
I think that working retail is a great way to build up customer service experience by being directly immersed into the area.

I liked the many connections I was able to make with other people in high positions. It also taught me a lot about different computer programs and responsibility.
What I wish was different
I wish I worked less and enjoyed my summer more. I hit my 40 hour mark every week and wish I didn't offer myself up to do that all the time.
Advice
If you are not good with people or unable to deal with people being extremely rude to you all the time, DO NOT take up this job.
